Terrarium

OK here is a quick blog for now, but I have been busy in the backyard so i have much more to come.

here is a terrarium i threw together after I mowed the front lawn with our push mower.
There is a little of everything from our front yard including a nice fern and a oak tree sapling i'll probably have to pull out once it gets to big.
The top pic shows the layering I did
from the bottom:  pea gravel and some quartz scraps from lagrange,ga ; then peat moss two inches; then just a sprinkle of enriched potting mix;  then some loose soil from under the oak tree; then plantage.

Art in Bloom Event

This past weekend Brenna and I were invited to be a featured artist at the "Art in Bloom" Event at the Huntsville Museum of Art. It was a nice event. Very swanky on Friday with many community heads including the Mayor in attendance. The event was geared toward raising money for the Womens Guild for Huntsville. But we took advantage of the open bar, catered food, and we got to sell our wares. "update: We sold enough items to raise over 50 dollars for the Womens Guild"
Well we set up our booth on Friday afternoon and then came back that evening
Here is Brenna helping a customer. We had a few sales and handed out some business cards. I sold two pendant Saturday afternoon. And Brenna sold some of those prayer flags and some clothing items as well. On Saturday we were setup from 10-4 and then both of us had to work at our regular jobs that evening. It was very much worth it.

Check out this piece of art that was in the museum (Amethyst Geode with .925 sterling sea creatures)
